Readers’ Comments
“This is the second Paul Fox spy adventure. I enjoyed Op Sabre but I think this is better. It’s very exciting with lots of suspense. I think the second half is the best – LOTS HAPPENING! The characters were cool particularly Paul. I think if you like adventure novels with fast pacing, this is for you.” Boy, aged 12
“I never read the first book but it didn’t seem to matter too much. I soon got into it and got to know the characters. It’s funny too and the ‘who killed his sister’ plot is intriguing. I will be looking out for the third book.” Boy, aged 12
“First thing – the cover is AMAZING! Second thing – excellent pacing and I was never bored. Third thing – I liked how the characters worked together to save everybody. It’s sort of like Bond for kids! Very cool book.” Girl, aged 11 – with a little help from her teacher
“I think Glenn Carter is a good writer. Why? Well, he seems to remember what kids enjoy reading. We don’t want endless descriptions of setting and deep stuff. We want suspense, we want things to happen, we want comedy, we want excitement. That’s what you get with this novel. I did like the first book more when they were trying to find the double agent, but this is still a FAB follow up. Keep writing Mr Carter!” Boy, aged 13
To Sum It Up:
‘A fast paced, thrill-a-page spy thriller for middle graders. A FINALIST and highly recommended!’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards
